How it works

Dayforce Wallet is a program that allows cardholders to access their pay on-demand by loading earned pay onto their Dayforce Prepaid Mastercard®. Signing up for the Dayforce Card does not impact credit ratings as the Dayforce Card is not a credit card and there is no credit check. Since it’s a prepaid card, only the available balance can be used.

Once funds are loaded to the Card, they can be used for purchases everywhere Debit Mastercard is accepted, to withdraw cash at ATMs and to get “cash back” at retail stores during PIN purchase transactions, and to transfer funds.

Currently, the Dayforce Wallet is available to employees of companies that use Ceridian Dayforce for HCM/Payroll in the United States. Not all Dayforce customers have signed up for their employees to use Dayforce Wallet, so please ask your employer if you’re not sure. The Dayforce Card is not available in New York.

Eligible employees may create a Dayforce Wallet account and register for a Dayforce Card. Once registered, available earned pay can be added to the Dayforce Wallet account at any time, at no cost. Each time pay is added, it is considered an on-demand payment; and is deducted from your payroll. You may want to review “Available Earned Pay”, to learn more about how and when earned wages are available via Dayforce Wallet.

Yes, the Dayforce Card can be added to Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.

Yes, use the 16-digit Dayforce Card Number printed on your Card to pay bills.

Use the 16-digit Card Number or use the bank routing number and your assigned Account Number to initiate ACH payments for recurring bills. The Dayforce Card can be used to set up recurring monthly payments for bills that can otherwise be paid via credit or debit card (or EFT if applicable).

The Account Number and routing number of your Dayforce Card account can be found within the Account tab under the “Banking” section.

Yes, don’t worry if your purchase costs more than the balance on your Card. Most places allow you to simply pay the difference with cash or another payment method. Be sure to check with the merchant before your transaction as not all retailers accept “split payment.” If your Card is ever denied, just ask if you can use your prepaid card first and then pay the difference with cash or another payment method.

Card Management & Fees

There is no monthly fee, no fee to add pay to the Card, no fee to make purchases, no fee to receive cashback during PIN purchases at retailers, and no fee to withdraw cash at MoneyPass ATMs. Consult the Fee Schedule for a complete list of fees.

Yes, you can add cash to your Dayforce Card at thousands of GreenDot© Reload @ the RegisterTM locations like 7-Eleven, CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens and Walmart.

Add Pay to Dayforce Wallet

Simply “Add Pay” and select the amount of your earnings you would like added to Dayforce Wallet. Once added, you cannot undo this action, and this amount will be deducted from your normal pay, so proceed with caution.

Once funds are loaded, you can begin using. (Subject to transaction fees and limits; please see the Cardholder Agreement)

Yes, the maximum that can be loaded to the Dayforce Card per day is $10,000. Your employer may also impose additional limits.

Yes, each time funds are withdrawn, the proper amount of taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other deductions are withheld. The amounts are visible in the earnings statement.

Yes, each on-demand pay will have a corresponding earning statement available in Dayforce.

The amount that is deducted from adding pay to the Dayforce Wallet is reduced from your normal paycheck. The earning statement will reflect each on demand pay distribution separately, as well as a total with the applicable earnings, deductions, and total amount distributed.

If you are terminated or leave your job, your status in Dayforce is adjusted to be "inactive". Inactive employees are unable to access the on-demand pay feature within Dayforce Wallet and will no longer be able to request funds on-demand. However, they will still have access to any remaining funds available on their Dayforce Card.

Transaction and Spending History

Transactions can be viewed in the Dayforce Wallet, categorized by the different types such as loading funds, spending, transfers, and withdrawals. One year of history is available in the app.  Call Customer Service to request 24 months of written transaction history.

Transfer Funds

Yes, employees can transfer funds to a bank account. However, one of the benefits of Dayforce Wallet is that it is designed to help employees manage their finances all in one place, with features that keep you in control of your money.

An ACH Transfer is free, although limits do apply. To use the ACH Transfer, the bank information must first be validated. Once this is complete, it is simple and easy to transfer funds from Dayforce Card to a bank account using the bank’s routing and account number, such as you’d find on a check. The funds are sent to the bank and typically received in 1 to 3 business days.

You can use Dayforce Wallet to withdraw cash from ATMs nationwide. The option for Peer to Peer Transfer using third-party services like Venmo will be available in the future.

ATMs & Access to cash

Within Dayforce Wallet, there is an ATM locator which will help you find the closest MoneyPass® ATM near you. Use the ATM locator here.

No, MoneyPass is the in-network, surcharge-free ATM network for Dayforce Card.

Yes, you are limited to withdrawing $510 per day. The ATM operator or network may also impose limitations.

You will be required to set a PIN when you activate your Card. If you receive an Instant Issue Card, you will receive a default PIN. Contact Customer Service at 1-877 723-7434 to change your PIN.

Lost or Stolen Cards & Devices

Please notify us immediately of the loss, theft or unauthorized use of your Dayforce Card. Call Customer Service at 1-877-723-7434, 24 hours a day.

You are allowed one free replacement card during each calendar year.  You will be charged a $5 Card Replacement Fee if you request a replacement card prior to expiration and you have already requested and receive one free replacement card in the same calendar year. Expedited shipping of your replacement card is available upon request at an additional cost of $25.

No, you must be logged in to the Dayforce Wallet application to request your earned pay. We recommend you double-check your device’s lock settings.

Travel with the Dayforce Card

Yes, the Card may be used outside the U.S. for purchases and ATM withdrawals. International Transaction Fees, International ATM withdrawal fees, and International ATM Decline Fees apply. See the Fee Schedule for complete details.

Security

Access to your Card is protected by a unique Personal Identification Number ("PIN") as well as security measures designed to protect you from unauthorized use of your Card.

You will have no liability for transactions that were not authorized by you if you exercise reasonable care in safeguarding the Card from risk of loss or theft and, upon becoming aware of such loss or theft, promptly reporting such loss or theft to us by calling Customer Service. The Dayforce Card is issued by Central Bank of Kansas City, Member FDIC.

Apply and Register for a Card

Federal law requires that we verify the identity of everyone who opens a Card account. We will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see a copy of your driver’s license or other identifying documents. You also are required to have a valid email address, phone number, and Dayforce account. Once you download and create a Dayforce Wallet Account, complete the Dayforce Card registration steps.

Account Changes

You can close your account by calling 1-877-723-7434. Removing the app does not close your account.

System Requirements

At this time, mobile phones are supported for both Apple (iOS version 13 and higher) and Android (version 6.0 and higher). Tablet support will be supported in the future; tablets can be used but functionality is not guaranteed.
