Scope


This Privacy Statement describes our general practices relating to the collection, use, and disclosure of the personal information you provide to Dayforce in relation to the Dayforce Wallet Application (the “App”) and the data related to your use of the App and the Dayforce Prepaid Mastercard®️ (“Dayforce Card”).
 

The Personal Information Dayforce Collects

 
i. Directly From You

Dayforce collects personal information directly from you when you download and/or use the App, such as:
 
  • When you create an account, we collect your e-mail address, address, city, state/province, and ask you to create your username and password;
  • When you contact our customer support center, we collect voice recordings or chat transcripts;
  • We may also collect other information you may choose to provide through our interactions;
  • When you use the App and services made available through it, such as your activities within the App, internet protocol (IP) address, device ID, account name, or other similar identifiers, and commercial information (e.g., products or services purchased within the App, or other purchasing or consuming histories or tendencies within the App or related services);
ii. From our Financial Institution Partners

Dayforce receives Transaction Data associated with your use of the Dayforce Card from our financial institution partners when you elect to use a Dayforce Card at various merchants to administer the Dayforce Wallet Rewards program.

This Privacy Statement does not apply to the personal information that we collect on their behalf when you request a Dayforce Card or choose to upgrade your Dayforce Card, such as your name, address, city, state/province, and additional information required by our financial institution partner to conduct a “know your customer” screening. How Personal Information is Used


Dayforce uses personal information to:
 
  • Maintain your App account, including verification of identity, and provide you with support;
  • Personalize and improve your experience while using the App, such as locating participating merchants in the Dayforce Wallet Rewards program;
  • Send general and/or personalized marketing communications related to the App and ancillary products and services;    
    • If you decide you do not want to receive these marketing communications, you can opt-out by clicking the “unsubscribe” link provided at the bottom of every marketing e-mail.
  • Send informational communications such as satisfaction surveys and product alerts;
  • Develop and improve the App and ancillary products and services through research, development, analytics, and business intelligence;
  • To analyze the App’s usage and user behavior, such as which screens you navigate to and from, by using web analytics tools for the purpose of helping us understand how users interact with the App and its features in order to improve and develop the user experience;
  • Administer the Rewards Program;
  • Comply with data protection legislation, information security requirements, and other legal requirements.

In the event that Dayforce de-identifies personal information in support of legitimate business purposes, we will not attempt to re-identify the data.
 

How Personal Information is Disclosed


Dayforce may disclose your personal information in the following ways.
 
Financial Institution Partners

We disclose personal information to our financial institution partners to enable and provide services at your request.

For example, if you request a Dayforce Card, we will disclose your information to our financial institution partner for the purposes of opening up the account and, if applicable, “know your customer” screening.

Service Providers

We may collect and share personal information from/with companies or individuals that help Dayforce deliver the services or provide Dayforce with services, such as those who help us prepare and distribute communications to assist and respond to your inquiries and those who provide ancillary services.
 
Subsidiaries and Affiliates

We disclose personal information to subsidiaries and affiliates of Dayforce in support of the uses described above.
 
Business Transaction

In the event that Dayforce, or any portion of our assets, are acquired, sold, or transferred, Dayforce will disclose personal information to the company involved to complete the business transaction.
 
Law Enforcement

We may report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we reasonably believe to be unlawful or that we reasonably believe will aid a law enforcement investigation into unlawful activity. In addition, we reserve the right to release your personal information to law enforcement agencies if we determine, in our sole judgment, that either you have violated our policies, or the release of your personal information will protect the rights, property, or safety of Dayforce or another person.
 
Legal Process

We may disclose your personal information to others as required by or permitted by law. This includes disclosing your personal information to governmental entities or third parties in response to subpoenas, court orders, other legal processes, or as we believe necessary to exercise our legal rights and those of our customers (including where fraudulent behavior is suspected), to defend against legal claims that have been brought against us, or to defend against possible legal claims that we determine in our sole discretion might be brought against us.
 
Dayforce Wallet Rewards program

Sale / Share of Personal Information


Dayforce does not sell your personal information, that is provide it to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration..
 

How Personal Information is Protected


Dayforce has implemented policies and procedures to protect personal information. Dayforce uses recognized industry-standard security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of personal information. Dayforce reviews its security policies and procedures on a regular basis and updates them as needed to maintain their relevance. Dayforce makes reasonable security arrangements to protect personal information from and against risks, such as loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, and destruction. The methods of protection include physical measures, organizational measures, and technological measures. Dayforce requires all third parties to whom it transfers personal information to maintain adequate safeguards in compliance with applicable laws and standards to protect personal information.
 

Retention of Personal Information


Dayforce will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or as required to comply with legal obligations, and thereafter, Dayforce will securely delete your personal information. If there is any personal information that we are unable, for technical reasons, to delete entirely from our systems, we will put in place appropriate measures to prevent any further use of such information.
 

How to Exercise Your Rights


You can view and, if necessary, update and correct your personal information within the App. Depending on the jurisdiction in which you are, you may have additional rights, such as the right to request the deletion of your personal information, the right to restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, or the right to have your personal information transferred to another organization. Individuals can submit requests for any of these rights here or by calling the toll-free number 1-888-975-7674.

Note that, as required by law, we will require you to prove your identity. We may verify your identity by phone call or e-mail. Depending on your request, we will ask for information such as your name and contact information.

We may also ask you to provide a signed declaration confirming your identity. In some circumstances, you may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf here. We will require verification that you provided the authorized agent permission to make a request on your behalf.

If you choose to exercise any of these rights, we will not discriminate against you or deny services to you or provide different quality of services.

Individuals can raise concerns or file complaints here. Dayforce will investigate all complaints and take appropriate action to remedy any issues.
